Alchemy are an exciting, up and coming Indie rock band located in Derby and Sheffield. Priding themselves in being a band with a diverse sound, each track keeps the listeners engaged and wanting more. Paired with an emphatic live sound, the band have played extensively locally and branched out further afield by playing venues in Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham and London. Quickly attracting a fanbase, bringing along lively crowds who’ve constantly praised the band for their chemistry and tightness on stage.

Alchemy – made up of five members, brothers Peter and Phil Lamb , Ollie Rodenby , Tom Gilmour and Brad Annetts – formed in the summer of 2023, and released their debut single ‘Blessings’ on New Year’s Day of 2024. The track has since been played on radio shows such as BBC Introducing East Midlands and numerous other local radio shows (such as ‘Erewash sound’ and ‘Spire Radio’). Since then, they have released a variety of new singles and their debut EP. The band continues to develop and focus their sound both in the studio and live, and are looking forward to more gigs this year and in the future to come. With their own merchandise and a growing fanbase, this band is making waves in their local music scene and beyond. Why not see for yourself?

Steel City is an energetic indie-rock banger by Alchemy. The band solidifies their new brighter sound with a song about moving away from home for the first time. The lyrics talk about the singer’s experience of moving to uni in Sheffield and discusses the theme of change, and how to embrace it.

Time May Change Me, But I Can’t Change Time

Alchemy’s debut EP Time May Change Me but I Can’t Change Time is a broad blend of styles of Indie rock fused into a tight, 6 track statement about the band’s acceptance of change in both their personal lives and as a band. At just shy of 30 minutes, the band take you through their journey learning both more about themselves and the world around them.
